Ondeck, the global yacht charter, training and events company, once again will be entering one of their fleet of fantastic Farr 65 ocean racing yachts for the 2012 Grenada Sailing Festival, which is due to start in two weeks time on Friday 27 January, based at Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina. With professional crew on board to train and advise, yachtsmen of all abilities can race this high performance 65 ft round-the world-yacht as an individual, small group or use the day for corporate hospitality. For 2012, as a great opportunity for visitors staying in Grenada at this time, or for keen local sailors, Ondeck is offering space onboard to ‘Day Sailors’ so they can take part in this exciting event for a single day instead of the full four days of the Festival.
Ondeck has a reputation for delivering some of the most exciting and friendly sailing experiences at all of the major Caribbean regattas as well as giving sailors & non sailors the chance to participate in Trans Atlantic sailing, major race events in the UK & the USA with Royal Yachting Association bases in the UK, Portugal & Antigua. The Grenada Sailing Festival Port Louis Racing Series is the first event on the Company’s exciting regatta calendar for 2012.
Grenada Sailing Festival Camper & Nicholsons Racing Series will take place from Friday 27 January to Tuesday 31 January, based at the company’s Port Louis Marina. The four days of racing will start with the Mount Gay Race Series on Saturday 28 January, with courses off Grand Anse and Point Salines, followed by the SOL EC Race on Sunday morning. On Monday the True Blue Bay Resort Pursuit Race will bring the fleet round from Port Louis Marina to the south eastern coast for the Budget Marine Race Series, and on the final Tuesday, 31 January, the Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina Race will be staged.
As always, challenging top quality racing will go hand in hand with great after-race events, parties and prize presentations, with a focus on the action in The Victory Bar at Port Louis Marina. To ring the changes, the organisers are also staging a party at The Dodgy Dock, True Blue Bay Resort, which over past years has proved to be a firm favourite with yachtsmen and women taking part in the Festival.
